WITH RESPECT AND LONGING
We commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the eternal Commander-in-Chief, great statesman, and Great Leader, who saved the Turkish nation from extinction and founded the Republic of Turkey—a secular, democratic, social state governed by the rule of law—with respect, mercy, and gratitude on the 87th anniversary of his passing.
Atatürk, the great commander and statesman of genius, one of the few the world has produced, who showed the world that a modern, free, and exemplary republic could be established while preserving the honor and dignity of a nation, and who inscribed this in golden letters in history, will always live in the hearts of the Turkish nation.
The principles and revolutions that Atatürk bequeathed to us will continue to be our greatest guides on the path to contemporary civilization; his ideas of independence and equality will forever illuminate humanity.
With these feelings and thoughts, we commemorate Ghazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, his comrades-in-arms, our cherished martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland, and our heroic veterans who have passed away with mercy, gratitude, and respect.
